Register now for the 31st annual Briggs & Al's Run & Walk on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008 at 10:15 a.m. The race starts on the Marquette University campus at 12th Street and Wisconsin Avenue.
Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk for Children’s Hospital is the oldest run & walk in the state of Wisconsin and one of the largest combined 8K events in the United States. Since its beginning, Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk has raised more than $9.4 million for Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, with 100 percent of the gifts and pledges going directly to help children. We are grateful to our generous sponsors, team captains, walkers, runners, volunteers and pledgeraisers who make a tremendous difference in the lives of children year after year.
Your registration fee only covers the cost for you to participate in the event. Raise $100 or more to qualify for prizes. Pledgeraising is easy with www.firstgiving.com/alsrun where you can create your own personal pledgeraising Web site.
Choose from an 8k Run, Wheelchair or 3 or 5 mile walk.
New in 2008! All runners, elites and wheelchair participants will receive a one-time use disposable timing chip called the D-tag. You will receive your D-tag attached to your race number or bib. The tag must be pulled off of the bib and attached to the shoe. Simple instructions accompany all bibs in your race packet.
